Overlooking the lake

Roxton Park Trout Fishery in Bedfordshire started in 1976, following the extraction of gravel from a 28 acre field located in the peaceful and picturesque Ouse Valley.

The gravel filters the water naturally, good water clarity making for ideal fishing conditions.

The lake is run as part of the farm and the owner, a keen fly fisherman himself has always tried to follow his father’s advice which was to offer fishing that ticks all the boxes for you if you were to be a member or guest.

As a family who have always fished we turned down the option of a marina for which planning permission was approved, because we did not know anything about boats and felt a greater empathy with the angling fraternity.
